Andrea Scarpati nasce a Torre del Greco, in provincia di Napoli, e già all’età di 13 anni intraprende la sua strada nel mondo della cucina, cominciando a prendere dimestichezza con l’arte bianca nel panificio sotto casa.
Da lì è tutto un susseguirsi di esperienze, a cominciare dall’alberghiero di Castellammare di Stabia, in concomitanza del quale non sono mancate le prime prove nei ristoranti della zona. Dopo aver girato l’Italia, decide di trasferirsi in Inghilterra; anche qui sono numerose le attività che lo formano, dandogli quella giusta maturità per realizzare il sogno di una vita.
Nel 2011 apre, insieme alla moglie Cristina, il suo Sapori Restaurant, dove una cucina innovativa non accantona mai quei sapori mediterranei propri delle sue origini.
L’attività di Scarpati non solo ha portato, e porta tuttora, la vera italianità a tavola direttamente nel Regno Unito, ma si distingue tanto per originalità e gusto da vedersi affibbiato il titolo di Miglior ristorante italiano d’Inghilterra, sia nel 2015 che nel 2016.

Andrea Scarpati was born in Torre del Greco, in the province of Naples, and at the age of 13 he started his way into the world of cooking, beginning to get acquainted with the white arts in the bakery under his house. From there, his path was a succession of experiences, beginning with the Castellammare di Stabia hotel school, in conjunction with his first works in the restaurants of the area. After some time spent in Italy, he decided to move to England, where numerous activities were crucial to his training, giving him the right maturity to realise the dream of a lifetime.
In 2011, together with his wife Cristina, he opened his Sapori Restaurant, where innovative cuisine never shelves the Mediterranean flavours of his own origins. Scarpati’s activity has not only brought but still brings true Italian cuisine directly to the United Kingdom, and he is distinguished for his originality and taste by being awarded the title of Best Italian Restaurant in England, both in 2015 and in the 2016.
