Amerigo Tarantino

Amerigo Tarantino, figlio d’arte, nasce a Palermo nel 1974 e comincia la sua carriera culinaria presso il ristorante Gourmand’s di Palermo, molto in voga negli anni ‘90, come commis. In seguito approda, viste le sue doti, nella cucina dello chef Jack Bruno all’Astoria Palace Hotel di Palermo. È da lì che, via via, comincia la sua escalation: dapprima al Jolly Hotel di Palermo poi all’Hotel Santa Tecla di Acireale (CT) e a Villa Ottaviana, un locale per ricevimenti, dove è chef titolare per 10 anni. Non ultima l’esperienza alla Pasticceria Alba di Palermo dove amplia le sue conoscenze in materia.

Nella seconda fase del suo percorso culinario è executive chef dei servizi di ristorazione di Grandi Navi Veloci e Tirrenia, servizi gestiti dalla società guidata dal padre, il maestro di cucina executive chef Vincenzo Tarantino.

Dal 2016 al 2020 Amerigo Tarantino è stato lo chef executive di Villa Felicia a Carini (PA), una location molto lussuosa per matrimoni ed eventi alle porte di Palermo.

Amerigo Tarantino, child of art, was born in Palermo in 1974 and started his culinary career as a commis at the Ristorante Gourmand’s in Palermo, a very popular venue in the Nineties. Thanks to his qualities he later got a job with chef Jack Bruno at the Astoria Palace Hotel in Palermo. This is where his career really kicked-off: at the Jolly Hotel in Palermo and later at the Santa Tecla in Acireale (CT) and at Villa Ottaviana, a location specialized in events and receptions, where he had the role of titular chef for 10 years. He also worked at the Pasticceria Alba where he developed his skills in pastry making.

In the second part of his career he was executive chef for catering on cruise ships of Grandi Navi Veloci and Tirrenia. The company that managed the restaurant services was led by his father, master of cuisine and executive chef Vincenzo Tarantino.

From 2016 to 2020 Amerigo Tarantino was the executive chef of Villa Felicia in Carini (PA), a luxury location for weddings and events at the gates of Palermo.
