Nato a Lecco nel 1962, è uno dei più grandi chef italiani al mondo. Diplomatosi nel 1977 presso l’Istituto alberghiero di Bellagio, ha compiuto un percorso di formazione nei grandi alberghi e nei ristoranti di tutto il mondo e a soli 26 anni è divenuto chef della Casa Reale inglese. Nel 1991 è stato chef alla Casa Bianca. Ha fatto poi ritorno in Italia, con l’apertura della Terrazza dell’Eden a Roma, dove è rimasto per nove anni conquistando la stella Michelin; poi si è spostato al Palace Hotel di St. Moritz. In otto anni in Giappone con il suo gruppo apre e gestisce oltre 30 ristoranti italiani. Nel 2008 è stato premiato quale Migliore chef del mondo.
Dal 2012 è presidente Euro-Toques Italia. Nel 2014 viene nominato dal presidente Napolitano Commendatore della Repubblica italiana e Ambasciatore della Cucina italiana. Nel 2015 viene eletto presidente di Euro-Toques International; dal 2017 al 2021 è co-presidente insieme a Jean Castadot, presidente di Euro-Toques Belgio; a ottobre 2021 viene eletto presidente internazionale unico.
È stato consulente al Castadiva Resort di Blevio (CO) e ha aperto a Taiwan il ristorante Il Mercato. Nel 2019 avvia un nuovo progetto di Catering e Banqueting insieme al gruppo Lanzarotti. Nel 2020 sono in apertura nuovi ambiziosi progetti in Cina, tra ristorazione e Scuole di Cucina Italiana.

Born in Lecco in 1962, he is one of the greatest Italian chefs in the world. He graduated in 1977 at the Bellagio hotel institute, and he got precious training in great hotels and starred restaurants all over the world and at just 26, he became the personal chef of the English royal family. In 1991 he was a chef at the White House. Then he came back to Italy, obtaining great success with the opening of the Terrazza of Eden Hotel in Rome, where he stayed for nine years, earning the Michelin star, then going to the Palace Hotel in St. Moritz. For eight years in Japan with his group he opened and ran over 30 Italian restaurants. In 2008 he was awarded “Best chef in the world”.
In 2012, he was elected President of Euro-Toques Italy. In 2014 he was appointed by President Napolitano Commendatore della Repubblica Italiana and Ambassador of Italian Food. In 2015 he was elected president of Euro-Toques International; from 2017 to 2021 he was co-president together with Jean Castadot, president of Euro-Toques Belgium; in October 2021 he was elected sole international president.
He was consultant for the Castadiva Resort in Blevio (CO) and he opened the restaurant Il Mercato in Taiwan. In 2019 he started a new Catering and Banqueting project with the Lanzarotti group. In 2020 new ambitious projects are opening in China, between catering and Italian cooking schools.
