Nata nel 1989 a Ragusa, già da bambina la sua più grande passione, cucinare, era abbastanza evidente. A 12 anni la prima esperienza in sala (ancora troppo giovane per poter entrare in cucina), in diversi ristoranti del suo paese, Palazzolo Acreide, entroterra siracusano. Studi presso l’alberghiero locale e i primi risultati non si fanno attendere: vince numerosi concorsi con la cucina flambé a Cefalù e Modica. Terminati gli studi, esperienze in ristoranti di immagine tra Spagna e Italia fino al ritorno al Ristorante il Portico di Palazzolo Acreide con lo chef Salvatore Calleri: per 10 anni è stata il suo braccio destro.
Oggi Roberta Gallo è proprietaria e chef del ristorante Regina Lucia, palazzo nobiliare del 1700 in stile barocco che si affaccia sulla magnifica piazza Duomo di Ortigia, Siracusa.
Roberta è legata alle tradizioni, e tiene molto alle materie prime che sceglie personalmente. Stagionalità è la parola d’ordine della sua cucina. Nel 2016 è arrivato il Piatto d’Argento dall’Accademia italiana della cucina.

Born in 1989 in Ragusa, it was clear since her childhood that her passion was cooking. She had her first experience at 12 in the restaurant (still too young to enter the kitchens), in many venues of her town, Palazzolo Acreide, in the inland area of Syracuse. She attended the local hotel school, and the first results were soon to come: she won many contests with flambé cuisine in Cefalù and Modica.
Once her studies were over, she had experiences in restaurants in Spain and Italy, until she came back to Palazzolo Acreide, at the Ristorante Il Portico with the chef Salvo Calleri: she was his right hand for ten years.
Today Roberta Gallo is chef patronne of the restaurant Regina Lucia, a 1700 noble palace in baroque style which faces the superb Dome square of Ortigia, Syracuse. Roberta has strong ties with tradition and she cares a lot about the raw materials that she chooses personally. Seasonality is the motto in her kitchen. In 2016 she received the Silver Dish of the Accademia italiana della cucina.
